HISC holds three destination cruising events each year. In addition, club members are encouraged to share their cruising plans with other members.
A typical club Cruise will have 3 host boats which normally will raft up together at the cruise destination. The hosts will organize a land based event on one evening of the cruise period.
The Cruises may be local or further across the waves such as Lake Worth, Bimini or Biscayne Bay
Additionally, club members often meet up with other members for an Ad Hoc cruise between themselves, it's always fun to sail to a destination with another club m ember's boat in sight.
Cruise Hosts manage the cruise but are not responsible for feeding everybody! They may provide some snacks or entrees but it's not expected and typically all of those attending a cruise will bring something to share. That usually means we have plenty of food to go around so if you don't bring anything except a smile and cheerful attitude you're good.
Not all club members have boats, but they are still encouraged to attend the club destination Cruises.
